Despite the unseasonably cold, wintry weather in many areas of the US, the spring is actually upon us.  With the spring comes the beginning of the gardening season.  Well, at least for those of us who can go outside without winter coats and hats.  Regardless of where you live, we are here to help as we know that preparing for the warm weather and the summer holiday is not for the faint of heart.  It’s hard work.  For those of you in the North, the thought of cleaning up the winters mess may seem overwhelming. If you are the do-it-yourself type or the “call the gardener” sort, proper preparation is necessary for creating a beautiful yard worthy of family fun.  As the cold subsides and you can start seeing the ground again, let us offer some suggestions on how to get started so you are ready to spring into action as soon as the snow is gone:

  • Don’t try and clean up the entire yard caused by the winter in one day, break it down into smaller areas or tasks
  • Make a shopping list of things you will need and purchase them before you begin your undertaking.  Some items to consider:
